Sunshine Coast

A recent trip to the Sunshine Coast with my folks resulted in these pictures. It appears as though the only thing I saw was trees. Figure out what the first picture is of.

Is it those old fashioned bulb Xmas lights?

Took me a while to figure out. It's leaves floating on a watery reflection of a tree.

Cool shot :)

Ah, yes, you are correct colin, though steph was more original.
Maybe I will post a trickier one next time. ;)

Marta: Your ingenuity in both the 1st and the 4th image are... ingenius. Setting your exposure based on the reflection as opposed to the above ground image (in the 4th photo) is an impecable choice. It is as if the above ground tree is dead (i.e. overexposed) whilst the reflected image of death is vibrant, colorful, and alive (i.e. perfectly exposed)... quite the contrast as well as a stunning commentary on life, opposites, and the SARS outbreak of 2003. Amazing.

Regarding the last picture in the sequence, it is obvious that the tree is wrapped in light brown paper. I mean look, you can just tell because it hangs there like only light brown paper can. It has rips in it (like brown paper), and looks like is was lazily glued onto the tree to try to make a good looking photograph. Well guess what, I figured this one out, Marta, and you and the brown paper glued-on tree can just stop trying to fool us! Gee whiz, the lengths that some people will go to in order to try to make friends and impress other people just baffles me sometimes...
